Bossie Cow Farm
Dave Heidel, a second generation farmer, switched to an organic-based farm operation in the late '90s. Unlike his father, who used chemical pesticides, Dave has a very different outlook on his 50+ cow operation as a farmer. Now his grass-fed cows produce milk for Organic Valley along with an organic milk-fed pork operation and organic egg production on the farm. While nearing his late 60s, this inter-generational business is now being passed on to the next generation of farmers, specifically his daughter Thelma and her husband.
